About Me

I am a daughter, sister, niece, wife, mom, and friend.  I wear many hats and have been blessed with awesome parents who have taught me many life's lessons through their examples. My husband Mike and I have been married for almost 23 years and we have 2 teens; one daughter and one son.  Both keep me busy and challenged to do my best under atypical circumstances.


In my earlier posts, I have documented my thoughts and feelings about raising an autistic daughter and a son who is in high school. While some days are "slightly" better than others, I am learning to take things one day at a time.

In my earlier years, I had worked for Ciba-Geigy, then it was Ciba Specialty Chemicals, then it was Ciba Corporation then eventually BASF Chemicals.  Then after 23 years of service, and due to a downsize, I was unemployed in May of 2008.  Sounds weird, but I felt immediately relieved at that very moment, knowing that I could focus my efforts on my children.  Its funny how everyone thinks since you're a "stay at home" mom, you have nothing to do.  That's quite the contrary.


My true passion is health & fitness.  I am branching out and creating layers in a few areas.  I became PiYo Strength certified back in March, 2012 and then TurboKick certified in April, 2013.  I always had a natural interest in health, fitness, nutrition and wellness and found my love for exercising and eating clean has further transcended into another area of focus.  I decided to go back to school to become a Health Coach.  In March, 2013, I started my online education with Integrative Nutrition.  Thinking back it was a quick decision to jump in, but was something I had always wanted to do. I graduated in February of 2014 as an AADP Certified Holistic Health Coach

As a health coach, my goal is to help facilitate healthy, sustainable behavior change by challenging my clients to listen to their inner wisdom, identify their values, and transform their goals into action.
 

You and I will focus on an individualized approach and customizing a plan for you to my clients reach their optimal level of health & well being. This can be achieved by targeting specific needs:
 

1) Gain insight on what works for them,
2) Create awareness,
3) Find solutions,
4) Reinforce behaviors that will have an impact for long term implementation.
