I weighed in at Weight Watchers this morning and knew going into the meeting that I was going to be up. What changed for me this past week was that I haven't been consistently writing down my food entries. Today's meeting focused on little phrases like, "If you bite it, you write it." "If you hog it you log it." These may sound very funny but its important to keep track of what you're eating when you're measuring progress over time and expect to get results. You can't just go through the motions and expect a favorable outcome. I am focusing my efforts on journalling this week. I already created great habits with exercising, weighing and measuring my food, drinking my water, still working on sleep too but the journalling will be the key to my consistent success.
There was a quote that my leader put on the board today, "If we want to direct our lives we must take control of our consistent actions. Its not what we do once in a while but what we do consistently."
con·sist·en·cy
[kuhn-sis-tuhn-see] -noun, plural -ciessteadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.: There is consistency in his pattern of behavior.
If you're struggling with consistency and need to get back "on program," I invite you to join me as I plough through the remainder of Phase 2 (up to Day 56) and embark on the last phase of P90X. My ultimate payout on Day 90 (June 3) is a trip to Vegas with hubby! Talk about motivation to the extreme!
