Just hanging in there!

My first week of P90X is almost over and I'm happy to be back into a routine which allows me to keep moving forward with my fitness goals.  The program helps me balance my ups and downs of being a mom of two teens, working outside the home, helping my dad run his business while focusing on my own.  Yes I'm sure you will agree that I have more than a full plate but keeping this busy helps me deal with life.

My daughter is at an age where she is envious of others who are getting their permits, having boyfriends, working, doing what ever they choose.  As her mom, I am doing the best I can to cope with the slap in the face of reality setting in.  These are not as easily attainable for my daughter.  I know deep down if wasn't disciplined with my health & fitness goals, I'd be a mess.  There are time when I feel like unraveling.  The best analogy I can give with how I feel at this time is climbing up the side of the mountain and I'm starting to lose my footing.  If I look down, I do see how far I've come, then having dirt and rocks hit me in the face, I can see the next part of the mountain and that inspires me to keep going.  I know I must hang on! 



This past week, I was extremely fortunate to have been told by a few of my twitter "peeps" that I have inspired them to make positive changes in working on their goals.  This feedback couldn't have come at a better time.  I'm very grateful for knowing them and while they think that I've helped them, its the other way around.  I have disciplined myself to keep moving cause I want to set an example of walking the walk and talking the talk.
