Morning workout challenge

Research shows that if you workout in the morning, you'll be more likely to stick with it.  Let me help you get started.

I know for me, I needed to rearrange my workout time to 5 a.m. because I was starting a new job and would be working outside the home.  If knew if I didn't push myself to do that, I would not have continued with my program.

During the first week, it was important to plan ahead.  That definitely was the key to my success.  Yes it was hard to see the alarm go off at 4:45 a.m. but I eventually got used to it.  It wasn't too hard to spring out of bed cause I knew the alternative of not working out in the morning meant I wasn't gonna have the time to workout later on in the day either.

Another key to my success was posting my intentions on Twitter and Facebook; it helped me keep myself accountable and to others who were working out at that time with me!

I will be returning back to my 5 a.m. workout time once my kids go back to school.  I have been taking advantage of waking at 5:45 to workout but I'm looking forward to a change.

If you're looking to start a new habit, try starting out with 15 minutes in the morning.  Starting out slow will help you get acclimated and once you build momentum and get into the groove, it will become second nature, just like brushing your teeth.  That's never negotiable and we just do it.
