Almost done with Round Two P90X!

As I finish up my last week of Phase 3 and heading into my last week of recovery, I had a chance to reflect on how powerful staying committed to P90X throughout the summer has been for me.  Although I'm not pleased with my physical transformation, I'm not disappointed either.  What I've learned about myself during this round is that I have become more consistent.  Being consistent is hard, especially if your walking in my shoes.  But I found I'm more disciplined and focused on my goal and that keeps me going.  There aren't any excuses left; they won't work.  I've realized that I need to keep moving forward.

Here what I got out of Round 2:

  • it allowed me to connect with so many people who want to bring it just like me
  • it made me realize I am stronger than I thought
  • it allowed me to wake up and know exactly what I needed to do.  I love having that kind of predictability; that was a huge bonus for me.  All I had to do was check the auto schedule each day and log in my workout.
  • it made me grateful that I could move and experience such a wonderful program that challenges me mentally and physically!
  • it kept me mentally sane in times of extreme stress because I felt good about doing something for myself rather than resent everyone and everything when things got unbearable.
So how do you make progress?

Step 1 - Decide - make a decision.  Once you decide what you want to do and how you will do it, you're already on the right track.

Step 2 - Commit - commit to yourself and commit yourself to your program.  If you are floundering and having issues with staying on track, let me help you.  It makes a huge difference knowing someone is waiting on you.

Step 3 - Succeed - success can be measured by a number of things.  I've been having lots of non-scale victories and the satisfaction of completing my program. (I'm very close to it).  Its a great accomplishment that I'm proud of.

I know it will take me a few rounds to tighten up and get the results I'm after.  My next round will start on September 26th.  If your on twitter and facebook, I invite you to join me as I post daily about my journey.
