I decided to challenge myself with The Turbo Fire 5 Day Inferno Plan. I had just finished up with P90X and INSANITY hybrid the week before. I was ready to switch things up and set new goals.
I was happy to complete my hybrid but I still wasn't where I wanted to be. Its taking longer than expected but I am here for the long haul.
Last week's weigh in at Weight Watchers showed a gain at the scale. I honestly never have a good weigh in when I'm in a recovery week of P90X. I was getting complacent with some of the foods I was eating too. Peanut butter was becoming a huge problem for me and so were mini chocolate chips. That number on the scale was a wake up call which propelled me into action. I knew I needed to change what I was doing in order to get different results.
At this morning's weigh in I was applauded by my leader for losing 4 lbs. in a week. She asked how I did it. I explained that I changed up how I ate, followed the Inferno Plan's nutrition guide, exercised a lot (at 5 a.m.) and was determined to show a loss on the scale. I had met my goal. I do have one more day on the plan and will blog those results when completed.
What I learned about myself is that I love structure. I love knowing exactly what I need to do and follow it (as close to it as possible). Yes I did switch things up a bit, but I closely followed the plan hoping to out do my numbers from this same time a year ago.
Its funny, I noticed that last year I didn't lose any weight, no not even one single ounce, and started out at a higher weight (about 10 pounds). This year, I am down considerably.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to jump start their nutrition and workout routine. Its not easy or EZ as some of the workouts are named.
If you have any questions about the program, let me know, I'm here to help!
You're doing awesome Maria! And I agree, I do so much better with structure and following a plan. Keep up the great work! I know how hard it is to do with children, family, work, etc...
