Mindset Version 2.0

Three weeks ago I blogged about mindset.  Well, over these past 21 days since my last post, my mindset started to shift.  Looking back, part of it was due to Thanksgiving.  While I was proud of the fact that I kept my workout routine, even doing FIRE 60 on Turkey Day, I was not used to eating all that extra sodium, had a small glass of wine, a scotch and club soda and later on, had a modified version of home-made NY Style Cheesecake (tiny piece).

I didn't think I did that much damage, but just like last year,  I broke out the Brioschi (for those of you who don't know what it is, its like an Alka Seltzer which helps with upset stomach), but that made me feel worse.

What surprises me the most is that during that time, my sleep schedule was off.  Because of that, I realized I was starting to feel hungrier and started to unconsciously nibble on things.  It was a domino effect.  If I had to weigh in at Weight Watchers RIGHT NOW, I wouldn't be at my lifetime goal.  I'm up about 3 lbs. which doesn't seem like a lot but its wreaking havoc on my psyche.

I don't know if your like me, but getting myself back on track has been a little harder lately.  The key to my success in the past has always been to be PREPARED.   That means planning out meals and workouts, and packing snacks/lunches, drinking water, and getting enough sleep. 

I typically struggle this time of the year; but this time I've made it a point to stay focused on my goal.
