Now that the holidays are weeks away, lots of social gatherings revolve around food and drink. Workouts seem to be the first thing that's easy to give up due to time constraints. The end of the year is always a very stressful time for me. I usually make pizzelles and attend a few parties and give into all the special seasonal food items that are around. But, this year will be different. Reflecting on 3 years ago back in December of 2008, I was 32 pounds overweight. I lacked confidence and had a hard time liking how I looked in clothes.
This past October, I was successful at achieving my Weight Watchers lifetime goal. I'm required to weight in once each month. It can be anytime of the month. Last month I had stayed the same. I noticed something interesting happened at today's weigh in. I was down 2.0 lbs. Now what's interesting is that just this past Sunday, my scale at home "said" I was 8 pounds higher.
What helped me debloat, change my mindset, and lose weight to show a loss at my weigh in? My decision to make sure I was at or very close to my goal weight by the end of the week. What helped was my accountability challenge group on Facebook. In the absence of my weekly meetings, I'm still posting every day and helping others recognize the benefits of healthy habits and taking small baby steps to make an impact on their well being.
If you want support, guidance and someone to lean on during the rest of the year, let me help you. Don't wait for January 1st to do something. The little things you do each day add up.
