New month, new goals!

Its been a while since I've blogged.  The last time I did was mid March.  Since then numerous things have happened.  My life got busier and I was trying to keep my head above water.  At that time it was my birthday and then 3 days later, my daughter's 17th birthday.  I have watched her struggle each day and have come to the realization she is starting to plateau for now.  Her birthdays have always been difficult for me to handle because with each passing year I've had tremendous hope that she will settle in and find her way. 

One of the best things that has happened for us is that she is working part-time 2 nights a week for 3 hours shifts.  I am happy she has the opportunity to get out and interact while proving to everyone (and herself) that she can do it.

So now back to me.  On Saturday, 3/31, I graduated from my first round of Les Mills PUMP.  It was not the results I had hoped for but I am proud to say I completed the program.  I am determined to do better next time. 

This week, I'm taking a step back and regrouping.   Since fitness has been a very big part of who I've become, I am focusing on my workouts and nutrition, which definitely helps provide the structure and control during my busiest of times.  I am getting back to basics and gearing up for my next 90 days.  Right now I'm thinking its gonna be Round 2 of PUMP with either their cardio or INSANITY.  I just love hybrids.
