I know this is a weird title for my blog but I wanted to capture how my life has been since my last post almost 5 weeks ago. I am and always will be hopelessly optimistic. I have this ability to perceive things as being better than what they are. If I didn't, I don't think I'd be able to deal with the cards I have been dealt in the game of life. Its not a terrible hand but I'm working on changing it!
Remember, I am the mom struggling with a 15 year old teenaged daughter with autism who seems to be hormonal for 3 weeks out of the month! I also have a son who's 12 years old and is going through his own struggles and has become very resentful of his sister. I am learning to adapt as their mom to help my children in an ever-changing world.
Personally, I have a strong desire to change. I do want to get off this treadmill. I know I must continue to challenge myself to be better, to do more and inspire others that it can be done inspite of what's holding us back.
My personal change involves having the desire to change which I do, then its figuring out what to do (or in some cases what I'm doing wrong), then just doing it (or fixing it). Its not always as easy as it sounds.
I came across this quote from Maya Angelou, "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." Having the right attitude is everything. Its the catalyst to change.
I have many areas of my life that I want to change. I have to say the physical transformation is my favorite because it involves Beachbody. They are a dynamic company that offers so many awesome workout programs that can help you get into the best shape of your life. I am proud to say I am a Beachbody "Coach." Many people become a coach for many different reasons. My reason is to help others change, while helping me stay accountable to my goals!.
