Summertime

Are you like me?  With each start of a new month, I feel motivated to set goals and work on what I want to achieve.  Yes we all know what we want but there is something powerful when you take pen to paper and document what you want to accomplish.

The summer affords me a break in so many ways. We get to take advantage of a more relaxed schedule.  No early morning alarms for the kids, catching buses, and homework.

Now is NOT the time to take a break with your healthy and fitness goals.  Bathing suites are standard attire.  The great thing about using in-home fitness videos like P90X and INSANITY is that they can go anywhere you do.  I am fortunate to have a home away from home in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.  My family has been vacationing there for over 20 years.  I have my workouts mapped out for the next 2 weeks so I plan on packing my resistance bands and loop for pull downs, along with a set of dumbbells.  I have no excuses!  Just determination to keep going!


Today is my scheduled weigh in day at Weight Watchers.  It has been a rough and stressful week but overall I know it could have been worse.  Thankfully Weight Watchers helped me develop some great habits and strategies to help me get through these rough times.

I am committed to my health and fitness and hope I can inspire you to do the same.  Just know that it doesn't happen over night.  It takes much effort to finally slip into a routine that balances out your lifestyle.  I personally know for me, if I didn't have my fitness/nutrition plan in place I would have totally unraveled today!  I am not the same person who succumbed to stress and emotional eating.
